Residence at the University of Dance and Circus
The University of Dance and Circus Dance regulary offers the opportunity for you as an artist or theorist affiliated with artistic practice to apply for residence. We are looking for you who are stimulated by a reciprocal exchange between by yourself, students and teachers. We also see it as an exciting opportunity for active involvement with professional activities relevant to what we develop at the University of Dance and Circus.
Residencies can be applied for by a person or a group who want to work at the University for a limited period of time to develop, deepen and share experience of artistic or scientific process; in practical or theoretical projects in which the University can offer assistance with studio, office, stage, infrastructure and marketing, according to the current internal schedules and in an agreed scale.
Please submit your application in duplicate. It shall include a presentation of the applicant/s including CV, project description and a motivation for your application.
Applications may be written in Swedish or English and must be the University at hand by an announced date. Applications are reviewed by the heads of the departments at the University. The following criteria will be the basis of the review:
- Personal qualifications and individual artistic or scientific expertise
- The project´s quality and artistic or theoretical themes
- The project´s relevance to the activities of the University of Dance and Circus
- Project schedule
Decision will be taken by the Board for Artistic Development, Research and Education at the University of Dance and Circus. All applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision within a week by e-mail.
