Nordplus: Explorations in Music and Dance (EMD)
The EMD Network represents diverse higher education institutions of dance and music in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, and as of 2008, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania with additional institutional partners in the European Union. 

The aim of the EMD Network is to support dancers/choreographers, musicians/composers artist-teachers and students in the exchange of information, in developing pedagogical strategies related to the dance – music relationship, and overall issues of dialogue and communication between the art forms. 

The main focuses of these activities are student-related projects and teacher/student mobility, which can be incorporated into the study curriculum within the context of credit points.

Nordplus: Nordic and Baltic Theatre and Dance Institutions of Higher Education (NORTEAS)
Norteas is a Nordplus network for Nordic and Baltic Theatre and Dance Institutions of Higher Education. We focus on sharing our everyday life, learning from each other and aim to network and develop international co-operation and teaching of theatre and dance in the Nordic-Baltic area. Norteas includes all 14 Nordic theatre- and dance academies of higher education as well as four institutions from the Baltic countries. 

DOCH is an active partner in the sub-project Assamblé and in the teacher exchange within the network.

Nordplus: Nordiska koreografinätverket/Nordic Network of Choreography (NordKor)
NordKor is a network between governmental institutions providing education in choreography in Sweden, Finland and Norway. The main purpose of the network is to create professional and socially relevant meeting places for students in choreography. The students are few at each institution, which is why it is important that they get the opportunity of co-operating in different projects. To meet other choreography students, exchange ideas, knowledge and reflections as well as meeting with the teachers at the different institutions and professionals.

Nordplus: Reflecting Dance Pedagogy in Nordic Educational Settings
The project brings together dance pedagogues from the Theatre Academy in Helsinki, Finland, DOCH, Dans och Cirkushögskolan, Sweden and Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, Norway, in order to familiarise them with each other’s institutions and curriculum in dance pedagogy. In addition, the project aims at exchanging and enhancing knowledge of the practice of dance pedagogy in different educational settings through seminars, teaching practice and the initiation of possible joint research projects between the participants.

Dance in Education Nordic Network (DENN)
DENN mission: Uniting, sharing and strengthening the development of dance in education in the Nordic countries. This will start with: 

  • Elaborating a Nordic blueprint within dance in education
  • Making outlines for Nordic professional development
  • Editing a Nordic journal for dance in education

Furthermore, DENN is aiming on developing political strategies for dance in education in the Nordic region. 

DENN values: Bringing together expertise across borders, sharing ideas about pedagogical strategies and concrete methods, promoting exchange in dance teacher training across the Nordic countries, promoting dialogue, opening doors and collaboration.  

DENN Nordic dimension: The social democracy in the Nordic educational system is essential for the theoretical visions of the network. The Nordic tradition of regarding the student as a competent other and the equal relation between teachers and students are traits that the network emphasizes and respects in their work.  

DOCH is a member of the network.

Keðja
The Keðja project is a platform for dance artists as well as educators, producers, scholars and academics, artists from other sectors and dancing youth, to meet and address important issues within the field of contemporary dance in the Nordic and Baltic region. 

Over a three-year period, six encounters with different dance-related headlines will take place in six countries. The remaining events will be held in Oslo (October 2009), Umeå (May 2010) and Reykjavik (October 2010). 

Artistic events, workshops, seminars and other kinds of exchange will take place, addressing the future of contemporary dance and its role in society, raising the awareness of dance, revealing potentials and facilitating development in all sectors of the art of dance - making a significant long-term impact on the artistic environment. 

DOCH is a member of the Swedish group for Keðja in Umeå 2010.
