A great interest for doctoral studentships in choreography
April 12th was deadline for applicants for the two doctoral studentships in choreography at DOCH and the National school for artistic research. 26 applications were registered. Among the applicants were 20 women and 6 men. The selection committee will now start its work. First decision of whom to invite for interviews. There after they will decide on their recommendation for Lund University, which is the host for the National school for artistic research. The process will be finished in June.
Members of the selection committee are: Cristina Caprioli Professor in choreographic composition, Cecilia Roos Professor in dance interpretation, Anna Koch Choreographer, Jan Ritsema Choreographer and Director, Rasmus Ölme Choreographer and Doctoral student in choreography, Nadja Hjorton student representative from the Master programme in choreography and Lena Hammergren Professor in dance theory and Head of the Board of Artistic development, Research and Education. The selection committee is lead by Johan Widén visiting Professor in fine art, Pro Vice-Chancellor and responsible for artistic research at DOCH.
