Welcome to DOCH!
DOCH welcomes international students to experience academic studies and student life at the only university in Sweden focusing on dance and circus.
You can apply as an exchange student from a university with which we have a formal exchange agreement, either through the Erasmus + Programme or via a bilateral agreement.
You can also apply to DOCH to follow a whole education programme, but please observe that admission tests for the school are comprehensive and differ with each program or course. For some programmes and courses DOCH requires students to read and write Swedish and English. Therefore, you need to have sufficient knowledge in both Swedish and English in order to follow the education on those courses.

Application procedure for exchange students (Erasmus and free movers)
Exchange students are admitted to DOCH if they have been selected by their home university, and if they have the qualifications for the chosen course of study. DOCH must have a formal Inter-Institutional agreement with the student's home institution. If DOCH and your University have not signed an Inter-Institutional Agreement, you can still aply for an exchange and if you are admitted, we can proceed with signing the Agreement.
For information on how to be selected as an exchange student within the Erasmus exchange programme, please contact the International Office or the International Coordinator at your home university.
When you have been selected as an exchange student, please fill in the online application. The following documents will be required:
- a personal letter about why you want to study at DOCH, your main field of dance or circus technique and what you would like to focus on during your exchange
- your latest transcript of records
- a certificate assuring that you are registered at a higher education institution for dance/circus
- a recommendation from that academic institution
- a video showing your dance or circus exercises. We would like to see some exercises where we can see the motion and flow of your dancing/circus art in order to place you.
Please note that there is no guarantee that all the applicants will be admitted. The teachers and responsible persons in the admission process will assess if the applicant has the appropiate level for the programme he/she is applying for. If the applicant is admitted a further discussion will proceed to recomend the courses and level for the student during the exchange at DOCH.
If you have questions please send an e-mail to the International Coordinator at DOCH.
The application deadline for the spring term 2017 is October 16. The spring term at DOCH starts on January 16 and ends on June 4 2017.
